Step by step

How a crypto deposit works

The process is much the same at every bookmaker that accepts crypto.

01

Get some crypto

Buy coins on an exchange or with an on-ramp service, and hold them in a wallet you control.

02

Open the cashier

At the bookmaker, choose Deposit, pick your coin and the network. You'll be shown a deposit address, often as a QR code.

03

Send the exact coin

Send from your wallet to that address on the same network. Copy and paste the address; never type it by hand.

04

Wait for confirmation

Your balance updates once the network confirms the transaction. That can take a minute or much longer, depending on the coin.

Things to know

Use the right network

USDT exists on several networks, such as TRC20 and ERC20. Sending on a network the bookmaker doesn't support for that address can mean losing the funds.

Prices move

BTC, ETH and most coins change in value. Stablecoins like USDT and USDC track the US dollar, so your balance doesn't swing with the market.

Withdrawals can differ

Some bookmakers take crypto deposits but pay out another way. Betzillo, for example, pays withdrawals by bank transfer only.

ID checks still apply

Paying with crypto doesn't mean skipping verification. Many bookmakers ask for ID before your first withdrawal.

Fees add up

Network fees are charged on every transfer. On busy networks a small deposit can cost a noticeable share in fees.

Crypto betting FAQ

Is crypto betting anonymous?

Not usually. Blockchain transactions are public, and most bookmakers still ask for ID before you can withdraw.

Can I withdraw in crypto?

It depends on the bookmaker. Stake supports crypto withdrawals. Betzillo accepts crypto deposits but pays withdrawals by bank transfer only.

Which coin should I use?

If you don't want your balance to rise and fall with crypto prices, stablecoins like USDT or USDC are the usual choice. For low fees, networks like TRC20 and TRON are typically cheaper than Bitcoin or Ethereum.

Do I need my own wallet?

You need somewhere to send the coins from. That can be an exchange account or your own wallet app. Some bookmakers also let you buy crypto through a partner service in the cashier.

What if I send the wrong coin or network?

Contact the bookmaker's support straight away with your transaction ID. Recovery isn't always possible, so double-check the coin and network before sending.
